Configuring Norton Internet Security
to Work with eBook Pro
Norton Internet Security is really good about recognizing most threats to your computer. However, sometimes it can incorrectly flag a program as a threat when it's really not.
Such is the case with eBook Pro (the program used to create the "Trout Fishing Tips" eBook). Because the eBook is an executable file, Norton Internet Security sometimes flags it as a threat when you try and open the file. The worst part is that before you realize what's happening, Norton has already removed and is asking you to reboot your computer.
If this happens to you, you may see the following details if you click on the link to find out more details about the latest threat Norton Internet Security is seeing.

The good news is that you can tell Norton to restore this file and then ignore it in future scans ... thereby letting you open the eBook. Here's how to do that.
First, IGNORE the messages to reboot your computer. You can tell Norton to remind you again in 24 hours using the pull down arrow on the reboot message.
Next, close out Norton Internet Security and then reopen it. On the main screen, you'll see a link that reads, "Quarantine" near the top left under COMPUTER. Click that link (which opens a new window).
Scroll down the list of threats in the left panel until you find the eBook Pro threat. The threat is probably marked, "high" and under activity, you'll see something like, "trout_fishing_tips.exe (trout_fishing_tips.exe) detected by SONAR". When you find it, single-left click this line once to highlight it.
Then look to the right panel, for the link that reads, "options" (near the top right under box labeled "recommended actions". Click the Options link.
After clicking the Options link, a new window opens that looks like the one below. Click the text that reads, "Restore this file"

After clicking "restore this file" another window opens. Make sure the box is checked that reads, "Exclude this risk from future scans" and then click the "YES" button.
Norton will then restore downloaded eBook file to it's original downloaded location and let you open it.
Although these steps were written for Norton Internet Security, the procedure should be similar for other antivirus software programs.
